Bob Walker started Walker Equipment P/L in 1952 as an engineering supply retailer to the large construction industry in Sydney. WE helped introduce many brands of quality power tools into the Australian market during its retail life.
WE evolved into an importer of quality power tool accessories and benchtop machinery under the CRAFTMASTER brand. The CRAFTMASTER ranges were sold throughout Australia in major retail groups and independent power tool specialist retailers for many years. WE then introduced the ULTRA and KOYO brands into the Australian market. ULTRA is a DIY brand and KOYO is a trade range of circular saw blades, made in Japan, and was the first range of “thin kerf” TCT saw blades in Australia.
